I had an exceptional experience with this practice. The entire team is friendly, professional, and truly focused on patient care. I had a three-root tooth removed, and by day two I honestly couldn’t tell anything had been done. The procedure and recovery were far easier than I expected. One thing that really stood out was how thoughtful the process was. My prescriptions were called in four days before surgery, so I didn’t have to stop anywhere feeling miserable on the day of the procedure. Dr. Will Akin also personally calls his patients in the evening to check on them and even gives out his personal cell phone number in case anything comes up. That level of care and accessibility is incredibly rare and shows how much he genuinely cares about his patients. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing periodontal care.

I went to their Nashville location for a gum graft in 2024. I am still fighting with them about my balance. At the time of service, I was quoted $1,889 as my portion, and I paid that full amount promptly. I trusted that this represented my complete responsibility, especially since their own financial policy clearly states treatment plan fees will be honored for 180 days. Since then, I have received repeated bills over $1,000 and a threat of collections. I've contacted their billing department and sent a letter with no response. Unfortunately, periodontal clinics don't fall under the No Suprises Act. There are other legal measures I'm now going to have to take. What they are doing is at best unethical if not criminal. Judging by the other reviews and social media posts, this is a recurring theme here. During the procedure I was not even sedated the entire time. The only reason I went there was because of an extreme dental procedure anxiety. I would advise to not go here and if you do just plan that they aren't going to quote you correctly and will demand possibly over 1000 on top of what you've already paid. There is also a possibility you will be awake during the procedure.

Dr. Will and I have seen each other several times over the years. He remembers me and cares about me. he never wants to hurt me and very rarely does. His staff is also great especially Pam.

Wonderful experience with Dr Akin. Office manager Pam was a delight to work with. Everyone very friendly and welcoming.

I had a terrific experience at Dr. Akin's office. I developed a terrible toothache and another dentist told me I would probably need to lose the tooth. Dr. Akin's office said I could come right over for A CAT scan, which most offices do not have. Dr. Akin was as friendly as could be. After the CAT scan, he said the ligaments around the tooth were just inflamed, and I would probably be better in a few days. He was absolutely right! Dr. Akin saved my tooth! I recommend the office highly.

Be careful to record your conversations with a staff member at this practice by the name of Pam. She exaggerates and is untruthful with regard to patient conversations with her personally. She also does not follow through with follow up in regard to erroneous billing practices. She was supposed to contact my husband about a collection notice received for a bill he disputed. Not only did she not follow up, she lied and said she did because she had it "on a sticky note". Phone records on his phone do not lie. She also said no collection notice was sent to him...we have proof of the letter being sent to our post office box. Once she got off the phone with my husband, she obviously was untruthful with Dr. Akin about the conversation. He called and was very unprofessional with my husband about the call. Bottom line...record your conversations if you have an issue because this office, or at least this staff member and Dr. Akin are very unprofessional to say the least.
